GMP Compliance & FDA Detention Testing

We know GMP regulations and were involved in the development of the current FDA cGMP's for Dietary Supplements.   If you need methods developed, regulations clarified, data evaluated, raw materials authenticated, contaminant testing, expert review, or other services related to GMP compliance, we can assist you.   If the FDA has detained your shipment of raw materials or finished products and you need a laboratory to test the material who has experience and expertise in ORA Section 7 Compliance Guidelines, we are the natural choice.   Unlike many laboratories in the supplement industry, we have experience with this area and know how to prepare a comprehensive, compliant data package.

Reference Standards and Voucher Specimens

Marker Compound Analysis

Marker compounds are used for substantiating label claim and monitoring process uniformity.   At FRL, we provide a variety of analytical tests to measure markers in dietary supplements.   Don't have the standard or think your standard is questionable?   We can utilize powerful technologies to confirm your standards or to custom isolate and characterize a standard for your research.

Contaminant Testing

In addition to markers, we also conduct a wide variety of tests for contaminants including pesticides, heavy metals, aflatoxins, solvent residues and more.   Currently, we are working with FDA research laboratories to develop new pesticide testing methods for dietary supplements.  

Species Identification

Using High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography (HPTLC) as well as Qualitative Botanical Microscopy (QBM), our FDA trained botanical microscopist can help you authenticate your materials to be sure that you have the right ingredient.   These low-cost and rapid tests can help you eliminate lost time and money from using the incorrect plant for your product.   If you need to comply with the new FDA GMP requirement for 100% identification of dietary ingredients, we are well equipped to assist you.
