Flora Research Laboratories is currently offering benzene testing in liquid dietary supplements using a modification of USP <467>. The modifications include the use of deuterated mass-spectroscopy and the inclusion of a proprietary reagent solution developed by FRL to inhibit benzene formation during testing. These modifications are the basis for the method we are developing under the NIH contract. Our first in a series of papers on the subject will be published early next year. If you are researching benzene levels in liquid dietary supplements and would like more information on testing services, please feel free to contact our office. Remember, we also offer USP <467> standard testing on a variety of solvent residues in dietary supplements.
